Being a Social Creature: Mrs. Williams

Social Creatures actress Patricia Rogers took a few moments to share with us her thoughts about being a part of this suspenseful show. Tympanic: Who are you in Social Creatures?

Patricia: Mrs. Williams

Tympanic: What drew you to the script?

Patricia: The idea of horror/terror/suspense being peppered with drama and comic relief on stage; the dynamic among the characters; the writing and social issues addressed within the context of the z word.

Tympanic: If you could only take one thing with you into an Apocalypse, what would it be?

Patricia: My husband, which is not a thing…so, if we are sticking with “thing” then it would be a picture of my husband.

Tympanic: Are you a Horror Fan?/ Got any favorites?

Patricia: Yes…I love being scared while watching a good scary movie…Rosemary’s Baby; The Shining; more recently The Conjuring.

Tympanic: Why should people see Social Creatures?

Patricia: Back to what I was saying about what drew me to the script…I’ve seen a lot of theater…but I’ve never seen a show filled with suspense/terror…I think that’s pretty cool and I think we do a great job of instilling that sense of horror.  I mean, shit…we’ve been scared at our own rehearsals and at most of those we are maybe at a 5.
